Premium Birch Shells
The Genista Classic’s tom shells are crafted from 5.6 mm, 7-ply North American birch, while the bass drum shell is made of 7.2 mm, 9-ply birch for powerful, articulate low-end tones. Birch provides an ideal combination of warmth, attack and sustain. These precision-cut shells give your playing exceptional clarity and projection.
Original Genista Lug Design
The Genista Classic brings back the original die-cast tension lugs that helped make the first Genista kits famous. These iconic lugs are retooled from Premier’s original factory designs to deliver maximum authenticity and performance. Each lug attaches to its shell using an isolating mount for a huge, focused tone.
Undersized Toms for Easy Tuning
Keeping with Premier’s tradition of innovation, the Genista Classic’s tom shells feature 6 mm undersized diameters for fast, accurate tuning. The smaller diameters, combined with 2.3 mm triple-flange steel hoops, minimize drumhead contact for a wide-open sound with outstanding resonance.
Stage-Ready Hardware
The Genista Classic comes equipped with Premier’s low-profile ISO mounting system, allowing maximum shell resonance while keeping your drums securely in place during performances. Memory lock brackets make it easy to set up and break down your kit for gigs. Fully lacquered bass drum hoops and die-cast claw hooks complete the professional-level hardware.
